How to Select a Granite Profiling Machine

There are mainly two profiling methods in stone industry. One is by model copy, the other is by computerizing. The model copy method is to cut a model into wanted shape and fix the model onto the machine, a fiber-optical sensor in the machine will detect the model shape and guide the machine to cut stone into the model shape. Then manually polish the profile by hand tools. The computerizing method is to programming profile drawing into the machine microcomputer first. Then the microcomputer automatically forms command to control the blade cutting profile. Finally manually polish the profile by hand tools.

When we say stone profile, it refers to a kind of stone line processed and connected for the purpose of decoration. Currently, there are a number of ways to produce stone line profile. Stone line profile produced in different ways have different shapes and decoration applications. So, to select a right granite profiling machine, we must know first how the stone line profile is produced. Today we introduce three ways that are most commonly used in stone line profile production.

1. Use diamond blade to cut the stone into required shape, then use profile wheels to give the stone profile coarse and fine polish. This method is suitable for those stone line profile with deep curve. If we use profile wheel to process all the way, it will consume much cost. But if we use blade to cut off extra part first and then use profile wheel to shape and polish, the efficiency will be higher and cost lower.

2. Use diamond wire saw to cut the stone line profile first, then use profile wheel to polish. This method is suitable for processing stone line profile with a big width.

3. Use profile wheel to shape and polish the stone line profile all the way. This method is suitable for processing stone line profile without deep curve.

For different processing methods create different stone line profile and different selling price, so we should choose the granite profiling machine according to our own needs.
